The second night of the Loxley Free Food Raffle series is happening this Wednesday, 3 July! 

Join us to learn about amazing Brazilian food & culture, try Brazilian snacks, and enter the raffle for a free dinner on the same night! 

We leave immediately after the raffle at 5.45pm! You only need to show up for the presentation and enter your name in the raffle list, no need for any other registration! Winners will have the dinner FREE!!

Here are the details:

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about food from various cultures through presentations by fellow members. On each night there will be a presentation from a Member who will offer insights into the culinary traditions, ingredients, and flavours that make their culture unique.

But that’s not all! Through a lottery, up to 10 lucky attendees will win a free dinner experience. Following the presentations, we’ll head to a renowned restaurant where winners will indulge in an exquisite meal showcasing the cuisine of one of that night's featured culture.

Here’s where you come in: We are looking for volunteers to lead the presentation about their culture’s food and suggest a restaurant to visit afterwards. The presentation should be short (around 15 minutes) and informal, and up to 2 people can present each time. The budget for the restaurant visit is 30£/person. As a token of appreciation, the presenter(s) will receive a guaranteed free dinner ticket. If you’re passionate about sharing your culinary heritage and would like to volunteer for a presentation, please fill in the application form with your pitch and submit it by Thursday, May 23. We will choose the "winning presenters" soon after that and then begin advertising the three events across the College.

The Loxley Free Food Raffle series is generously supported by the Loxley Award Bursary, named after alumnus Salim Loxley, who was a vivacious member of the College a generation ago.
