Sex Week: Film Screening & Pyjama Party
Churchill Room, London House
This 2004 biographical drama, written and directed by Bill Condon, tells the story of Alfred Charles Kinsey (played by Liam Neeson), a pioneer in the field of sexology. His 1948 publication, Sexual Behaviour in the Human Male, the first of the Kinsey Reports, was one of the earliest efforts to investigate human sexual behaviour from a scientific standpoint. The film also stars Laura Linney (in a performance nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress).
Kinsey's investigations, and the blurred lines they open up within his own sexuality, take him on a journey that opens up new vistas, both for the man himself, and ultimately, for the American public at large.
Drinks and snacks will be provided. Pyjamas and pillows strongly encouraged!
